  • City of London Corporation - Team London Ambassador

    Team London Ambassadors are the welcoming face of London, and are tasked with providing an outstanding level of customer service by providing helpful, accurate and timely information to visitors and members of the public.

    Ambassadors volunteer at one of nine information hubs based at the busiest tourist locations at London, answering queries and signposting visitors to local attractions.

  • UEFA Champions League - Mobility Team

    Part of the Champions League Live Events Team. The Live Events project organises the Festival, which consists of hosting football activities, interactive commercial displays, competitions, live music, sporting, and cultural entertainment over several days in the city centre. The Festival plays a key role in enhancing the experience of traveling fans and enganging the local community.

    Designated across two major iconic sites in London for the Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid game on Saturday 1st June 2024.

    Participating in careers talks remotely with schools based in South London. Discussing Akua’s role in Technology and the skills required to fulfil a role in this Industry.

  • Cajigo - Mentor

    Mentoring young girls/women into STEM subjects and providing career guidance.

    Cajigo is a dual app that provides mentoring and support to raise the aspirations of girls and women so they can confidently work in a variety of tech careers across industries.

  • UK Athletics - General Volunteer

    Worked in the Accreditation Team for the Muller Anniversary Games at the Olympic Park Stadium, Stratford July 2019.

    SPAR British Athletics Indoor Championships 22nd & 23rd February - Athlete Logistics Assistant

    Worked alongside the Athlete Logistics Team, this role involved issuing accreditation to athletes, coaches and agents as well as assisting the team with any other roles within the athlete warm up area.

  • Macmillan Cancer Support - Events Volunteer and Fundraiser

    Assisting with various charity walks and runs as well as help raise money for the charity.
