Akua Opong is a multi-award-winning speaker who has delivered impactful talks at events of all sizes across both the private and public sectors. With over 15 years of experience in the financial and tech industries, she is a recognised thought leader and a passionate advocate for Social Impact, CSR, ESG, Belonging, Inclusion, and Gender Equality. Akua holds Chartered IT Professional status from the British Computer Society.

A prominent voice in the UK, Akua champions women in tech, neurodiversity (ADHD/Dyslexia), accessibility, mental health, and social mobility. As a UN Women UK Community Member, she actively promotes the advancement of women in STEM. Her influence extends to charity leadership as a Non-Executive Director, Trustee and as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Additionally, her commitment to sports is reflected in her work with England Netball and British Athletics.

Akua openly shares her journey living with Crohn’s disease - an experience that has deepened her commitment to wellbeing, accessibility, and inclusion.
